Cyber crimes

Cybercrime is the penetration of internet networks and information systems to the detriment of other people and bodies at the local and international level, cybercrime is an illegitimate rebirth of the amazing development of Information Technology .

With the rapid development of this technology, we are also witnessing an increase in cybercrime, as cybercrime is one of the main challenges facing the global community nowadays .

Cybercrime is defined as any illegal activity that technology and the internet are used to carry out or carry out an attack on people, companies or bodies .

Cybercrime has increased significantly in the modern era, with the development of technology and our increasing dependence on the internet and smart devices, cybercrime includes any electronic activity aimed at hacking or damaging computer systems, networks, electronic data, individuals and organizations .

Unfortunately, cyber hackers are flexible and technologically advanced, as they constantly develop new methods and use their scientific and practical information and expertise to harm others to access and steal sensitive information or disrupt the infrastructure of commercial enterprises and systems .

Cybercrime also extends to many types, such as hacking computers and networks, data theft, deliberate cyber attacks, electronic cheating, electronic extortion, and sophisticated technologies such as malware, viruses, malware, and electronic fraud are used to achieve their malicious goals.

Cybercrimes cause serious material and moral losses to individuals and institutions.theft of personal identity and banking and financial information puts individuals at risk, leading to fraud, theft, defamation and electronic distortion. in addition, systems, companies and institutions are disrupted, causing the loss of sensitive data and failure to provide services.

To meet this challenge, institutions and countries must move at the national and global levels, we must strengthen our capabilities in the field of cybersecurity and adopt modern technologies and tools to detect attacks and develop protection, in addition, we must increase awareness of internet security and sound practices for the safe use of technology .

On an individual level, individuals must learn how to protect themselves and their personal information by adopting strong passwords, updating software and hardware regularly, being careful while surfing the internet and dealing with suspicious email and links.

Cybercrimes include a wide range of hostile moves, such as electronic fraud, identity theft, hacks, hacking, electronic espionage, threats, extortion, invasion of privacy, defamation, network penetration, and many other forms of abuse .personal data stored on the internet is a major target for cybercriminals, as it can be used for fraud, extortion, or forgery.

Cybercrime actually affects many aspects of our daily lives, it is clear that the financial damage suffered by individuals and companies as a result of electronic fraud or cyber intrusions is very worrying, but there are also indirect effects, such as privacy violations, exploitation of personal data, disruption of public online services or services .

The challenges related to cybercrimes are exacerbated by the international nature of the internet and its cross-border impact, which means that cybercrimes can be carried out by a person located in one country and his victims in other countries, in addition, the efforts of Investigation and prosecution of cybercriminals become more difficult due to the advanced technology used by these hackers and hackers .

There are several steps that can be taken to combat cybercrime :

First, awareness and education about the dangers of cybercrime and how to prevent them should be promoted, whether through companies, schools or the media .

Secondly, laws related to cybercrime should be strengthened, enforcement procedures should be strengthened and these crimes should be combated .

Third, international cooperation in the field of combating cybercrime should be strengthened, as cooperation between countries in this regard will help in exchanging information, enhancing investigations and ensuring the arrest of criminals .

Fourth, we must adopt a comprehensive approach to combating cybercrime, and governments and international organizations must strengthen their ability to deal with these new threats and provide adequate support for research and development in this area .

Fifth, we must adopt correct digital security behaviors, protect our personal data, and close security gaps in our digital systems .

On the other hand, the fight against cybercrime requires joint and continuous efforts by individuals, institutions and governments to ensure our Digital Safety and our digital future .

In recent decades, we have witnessed a marked increase in the use of digital technology and the internet in our daily lives, as the nature of these cybercrimes differs from traditional crimes in all its aspects, and the perpetrators of these cybercrimes always hide the traces of their crimes, which makes it difficult to reach the perpetrators of these crimes .

This calls for all countries of the world to join hands to issue international laws to confront cybercrimes, and to mitigate the impact of these crimes on the targeted electronic systems and reform them .

The United Nations, through its counter-terrorism office, is developing protection programs, including these programs .

The Cyberspace Security Program is to enhance the capabilities of member states and private institutions to prevent cyber attacks launched by actors against the vital infrastructure of other people and systems .the program also seeks to mitigate the impact of these cyber attacks and restore and repair the targeted systems in the event of such attacks.

There is no doubt that cybercrime is a growing threat that requires joint efforts to combat it and maintain data and information security.
