Experience : Master degree in International Maritime Transportation from University of Paris Sorbonne ( France),a PhD in Maritime Law, from University of Rouen (France) and a LLM in Law & Marine Affairs from University of Washington in Seattle (USA). Represented the interest of various P&I Clubs members in Senegal and in some ports of the West African Coast. Further, I have presented a paper at the International Congress of Maritime Arbitrators (ICMA) in Paris on the following topic : Defense & Illustration of Lex Mercatorian in International Arbitration : the case study of voyage charter parties. I also have published extensively on maritime law. April 2019 to Present Merger of AF LEGAL Law Firm (Dakar) Partner Advising and assisting domestic as well as international investors in various projects including Mining, Oil & Gas, PPP, Banking, Project Finance, Private Equity, Energy, Shipping , Dispute Resolution, November 2013 - May 2014 African Development Bank (AfDB), Tunis Office of the General Counsel Legal Consultant in charge of Governance related policies & projects funded by the Bank. February - November 2013 Consultant for the World Bank funded study on “The Legal & Fiscal Framework of the Mining Sector in Senegal . Teaming up as National Legal Expert with the US based law firm Duncan & Allen . The work included, my active participation in :- (i)meetings with the government, mining industry and civil society organizations, (ii)ground missions (iii)drafting of the reports.
