- Education : He holds a Master’s degree in International Business Law from the Institute of International Business Law in Cairo in 2013-2014, following a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the same institution in 2006-2007; he also completed his DEUG (Diplôme d'Études Universitaires Générales) in International Business Law in 2004-2006, and a second year of DEUG in 2005-2006, after completing his Baccalaureate in Literary Series at Djibouti State High School in 2001.
- Experience : Ahmed Abdourahman Cheik is a highly accomplished attorney and managing partner of Cabinet Abayazid & Abdourahman (CAA), specializing in corporate, business, international trade, private, and maritime law, with extensive experience in representing P&I and UK clubs, providing international consulting on contract reviews and investment projects, and advising foreign clients on compliance with local laws in Djibouti; he has contributed to significant legal reforms, including the review of the Digital Code and the drafting of the Geothermal Bill, and has been an active contributor to the World Bank’s Doing Business Reports from 2014 to 2017; with a strong academic background, including a Master’s degree in International Business Law from the Institute of International Business Law, Paris1-Sorbonne (Cairo), he has also participated in numerous international legal conferences, published works on Djibouti's port activities, and led major investment projects in the region, such as the Djibouti-Ethiopia railway and free trade zone developments; he is a founding member of AMIS Juristes Djibouti, a vice-president of the association, and represents the Horn of Africa in the COMESA Lawyer Network
